Helping teams work better together
When team development can help
"A brilliant session and very good at explaining and leading the conversation to be very useful in our team. Brought up topics that may have been tricky to talk about without an external facilitator."

What good team development can bring to your team
Not just a team-building day...
No, we won't be building towers out of marshmallows and spaghetti, or getting you to hold hands and do trust falls.
Our team development is purposeful, and designed to develop relationships, shared ways of working and better communication across your team.
We start by understanding your team, what is happening now and what you want to be different. From there, we create practical, engaging support that enables the right conversations and leads to meaningful action.
Team development sessions are unique to the team, and will likely include a mix of approaches including sharing models and concepts, Team coaching, profiling and action learning.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose what type of session is best for our team?
We will start with a conversation about your team, its context and what you want to achieve. Together, we will identify the approach — or combination of approaches — most likely to make a difference.
This might be a team learning workshop where relevant input is applied to your team’s situation; team coaching to explore how the team works together; profiling to build understanding and improve communication; action learning for ongoing peer support around real challenges; or a Collaboration Charter to create clear, shared agreements about how you will work together.
We keep the outcomes in mind throughout, and can change the approach if needed.

Where will the sessions take place?
We can deliver team development in person or online, but we strongly recommend meeting in person wherever possible. Being together creates more opportunity to build relationships, read the room, have meaningful conversations and take part in practical activities without the distractions of day-to-day work. We can work with you to find a suitable venue, if needed.
Online sessions can work well where a team is geographically dispersed, as part of a longer development journey or for follow-up support. We will discuss the options with you and recommend the format most likely to achieve what your team needs.
What sort of activities will we do?
The activities will depend on your team and what you are there to achieve. We use a varied mix of facilitated discussion, individual reflection, paired and small-group activities, practical exercises, visual tools and action planning.
You might explore how team members communicate, map roles and responsibilities, identify what builds or damages trust, work through real scenarios, clarify priorities or agree practical ways of working together. We select activities because they help create useful insight and conversation — not simply to fill time.
Is your team development really bespoke?
Yes, your session or block of sessions will be unique to you.
Of course, we have a range of tried-and-tested activities, tools and approaches that we know create useful conversations and learning. But we take time to understand your team’s context, what is working well, the opportunities or issues you want to explore, and what you want to be different afterwards. We then select and adapt the activities, input and facilitation approach to create something that is relevant, purposeful and practical for your team.

How much does it cost?
A full day of team development is £1795 for up to 18 people. This covers an initial scoping meeting, design and preparation, delivery, follow up materials, a round up of the day and a check in a few months after the session.

Is this a one-off session or ongoing support?
It can be either. Some teams benefit from a focused half-day or full-day session, while others are looking for a longer journey involving several sessions, team coaching, action learning or follow-up reviews. We will help you decide what is proportionate and likely to make a lasting difference, depending on the outcomes and the starting point.
Our team is a little feisty! How do you manage challenge and conflict?
A little healthy challenge can be a real strength in a team. Where tensions or conflict are present, we take time beforehand to understand the context and design a session that feels purposeful, safe and appropriate.
During the session, we create clear boundaries for how people will work together, make space for different perspectives and facilitate conversations with warmth, honesty and constructive challenge. We will not force people to share more than they are ready to, but we will help the team address the patterns and issues that are getting in the way of working well together.
If concerns need a formal process, investigation or mediation, we will be clear about this and help you identify the most appropriate next step.
Our team gets on really well, why would we need team development?
Team development can help teams address difficulties, but it is also a proactive way to keep a healthy team working well. It creates time to strengthen relationships, communication, morale and boundaries; work through small kinks before they become bigger issues; and encourage the team to keep learning, innovating and stretching itself.
It can be particularly valuable when a team wants to protect what is already working well, while building the confidence and resilience to navigate future pressures or change together.
