Leadership Development Partner (Welsh Speaking)

We’re looking for a fluent Welsh-speaking facilitator who brings credibility, curiosity, and compassion to their work. You might have led teams, departments, or organisations and now want to use that experience to support others through learning and development. You’ll design and deliver high-quality, engaging programmes for leaders and teams across Wales, helping them build confidence, self-awareness, and impact.
This role offers the chance to do meaningful, varied work in a flexible, supportive and creative environment. It’s ideal for someone who has held senior leadership responsibilities and now wants to use that experience to help others grow — bringing insight, empathy, and credibility to their facilitation. You’ll have the freedom to shape your work, contribute ideas, and be part of a small, passionate team making a real difference to leadership across Wales.

Applications should be submitted by 9am on Monday 10th November 2025.
Shortlisting will take place the same week, and shortlisted candidates will then be invited to complete a task before moving on to the interview stage.
Final interviews will be held during the week commencing 1st December 2025 (likely to be Tuesday 2nd December)

Role Details

Salary: £40,000–£47,000 FTE (depending on experience)
Hours: 15–35 per week (to be agreed)
Contract: 12-month fixed term (with potential to extend or become permanent)
Location: Hybrid – Newport, South Wales and home working, with travel elsewhere as required

NOTE: The ability to communicate fluently and confidently in both Welsh and English is non-negotiable for this role

Following an increase in interest and focus on Welsh learning opportunities, we’re looking for a fluent Welsh-speaking facilitator with strong leadership experience to join Leaderful Action as a key member of our team. This role combines high-quality facilitation with opportunities to shape our business and client partnerships. You’ll work directly with all levels of individuals, including senior leaders, and with a range of organisations; developing partnerships that help them reach their potential and perform at their best. You will be responsible for scoping, designing, delivering and quality assuring impactful learning experiences that inspire reflection, dialogue, and change. As a trusted partner, you’ll also contribute to developing new relationships, programmes, and ideas that extend Leaderful Action’s reach and impact.

The Recruitment Process

Our process for recruitment for this role includes:
1. A written application and short video introduction.
2. A short recorded bilingual (Welsh and English) presentation for those shortlisted
3. An in-person interview with a small panel.

We will respond to all applications by email, usually within a week of the closing date, to let you know the outcome of your application.

You are welcome to complete your written application in Welsh. However, as we currently do not have Welsh language capacity within our team, applications will be translated using an online translator to enable shortlisting in English. This will not impact your application in any way.

Leaderful Action is an equal opportunities employer.
We value diversity and the strengths everyone brings to the table.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. We aim to follow the most accessible recruitment process possible, and will include inclusive practices as standard. This includes the following, as standard:
  • Providing interview questions in advance
  • Ensuring all candidates are given appropriate time to prepare for each stage of the recruitment process, including any presentations or tasks.
  • Using clear, plain language throughout our recruitment materials.
  • Welcoming feedback on how we can continue to improve accessibility and inclusion in our processes.

If you require any adjustments or support to take part fully in the application or interview process, please let us know — we’ll be happy to make arrangements that work for you. If you would like to submit your responses to the application questions in an alternative format – for example, in a video – we would be pleased to accommodate, as long as you answer the same questions we ask for in this form - please get in touch to discuss

Guidance for Applicants

How We Assess Applications

We’ll assess your answers against the key requirements for the role, using a simple scoring scale. This enables to ensure a fair and transparent process.

We’re looking for clear, relevant examples that show your experience, skills, and approach. There are no “right” or “wrong” answers — we just want to understand how your background and style fit with this role and with our values.
Each question will be given a score between 0 and 4, based on the strength of the evidence in your answers:

0 – No evidence: The question hasn’t been answered, or there isn’t enough information to assess.
1 – Limited evidence: A brief or general answer, with little connection to the question or the role.
2 – Some evidence: Some relevant information or examples are given, but the answer lacks detail or clear outcomes.
3 – Good evidence: A clear, relevant answer with useful examples that show how your skills and experience relate to the role.
4 – Excellent evidence: A strong, detailed answer that shows clear understanding, reflection, and the impact of your work.

You don’t need to write long essays, (in fact we'd rather you didn't!) but try to include at least one example that help us see how you’ve used your skills and experience in practice and the impact it has had.  As a guide, you should aim for around 2-3 paragraphs per question, although this is not a set limit. You can include examples from both paid and voluntary work, as well as other relevant experiences.
