Thinking back to where we were at the beginning of the year it would have been impossible, indeed unfathomable, to anticipate just how much our lives would change over the months to follow; the impact of Covid 19 on every aspect of our lives has been vast, extraordinary and unlikely to change for some time, if at all.
Thinking back to where we were at the beginning of the year it would have been impossible, indeed unfathomable, to anticipate just how much our lives would change over the months to follow; the impact of Covid 19 on every aspect of our lives has been vast, extraordinary and unlikely to change for some time, if at all.
Hearing uplifting stories of global, national and community efforts to mitigate effects and support the vulnerable and our keyworkers, we wanted to find a way, using our strengths as an organisation, to make a difference through learning – helping others to ‘find their light’ by developing and strengthening their personal and professional resilience in times of adversity. So we did just that and set about developing our Covid 19 Resilience community webinar series, offering free and easily accessible online learning based around the Robertson-Cooper model of resilience; encouraging participants to identify and apply a variety of skills and techniques to help cope and ‘bounce back’ when times get tough.
The entire LA team has been actively involved in the ethos, design and promotion of these sessions – we really have put our heart and soul into them; the webinars really capture the essence of what we are about. Our online participants have come from all walks of life and have shared thinking, personal stories and tips on resilient thinking and social support, supported by some fresh and practical material from our facilitators.
We’re also proud so say that we have provided complimentary coaching sessions for one of key clients from the care sector. Recognising that this would be a particularly challenging period for them we wanted to continue to support and develop their managers, leaders and in turn, their teams, to be able to give the very best of themselves despite the difficult situation and uncertainty. We’re finding satisfaction and purpose in being able to support others, as we all take the next steps on this strange and testing journey.
Please contact us to find out more on about our coaching services or our online SnapSessions on Resilience and how they can support you and your business navigate this uncertain period.
