Team Build Events

Team build events are designed to meet the specific needs of your team and be as short as ½ day depending on the time your team has available. They can incorporate a blend of academic theory and dynamic exercises, which are designed to fit your organisational culture and the participant’s physical ability level.

Leaderful Action facilitated a 3-day residential team build and group dynamics event for 13 senior managers from Cardiff University Students’ Union.

"I absolutely recommend the use of leaderful action for a challenging, dynamic and highly effective team build experience. They successfully and professionally blended the need for flexibility throughout the 3 day event , with academic team/ leadership theory and carefully planned exercises"

Jason Dunlop, General Manager Cardiff University Student’s Union

Utilising dynamic low rope exercises and experiential learning techniques, powerful learning was facilitated through structured reviews and peer feedback methods.

It was a process that led to the development of personal action plans focussing on the individual behaviours needed by each member to contribute to the effective performance of this team. Specifically, the team dynamics that were improved were:

  • Openness and honesty
  • Mutual trust
  • Management of risk (emotional and physical)
  • Pride in the group
  • Concern for others
  • Commitment, loyalty and objectivity
  • Decision making

This was a two phase approach working firstly with the 8 newly elected officers (the formal Directors) and then with the wider team which included 4 senior managers and the General Manager.
